Pan watched, secretly impressed at Nibs' movements. Now, Nibs had a tendency to give off a vibe that said he was lazy and a bit of a goof, but Pan knew better than this. Even better, it seemed as if Hook himself, in all his arrogant pirate captain glory was falling for Nib tricks. Pan grinned as Hook impressively blocked all that Nibs threw at him. Pan had every faith in Nibs' fighting abilities, as he himself had both practiced with him, and seen him in a serious fight. This beginning part, Pan suspected was him reeling in the prideful grown up. Pan always enjoyed one aspect of Hook's personality of all others that the man had. His naïveté.
Now, Pan certainly did not believe that Hook was a fool. Well, not more than just about any other adult that had come out on top in most given situations, but he was certain that Hook thought that Nibs' moves were almost laughable and easy to counter. Now, one could not honestly say that Nibs' displayed swordsman skills were nearly as predictable as they seemed, at least if one had elite level swordplay skills, tactical awareness, and an acute sense of participants in the fight. It helped a lot to also know what sort of person Nibs truly was.
Alas, it was the ease at which Hook clearly believed someone with the body of a boy could be defeated. The point to all of this is, Nibs can be pretty bad ass when he wants to be, and this was why Pan considered him to be something of an enforcer, his left hand if you will. Beyond that, Pan and Nibs had a bit of a rapport, as it were. So, Pan was certain that Nibs would most definitely recognize this particular sword, as Pan enjoyed using them in their occasional sparring matches. So, Pan stood, patiently, waiting to see if Nibs remembered, waiting to see if his trust was well placed in the boy, and waiting for the moment that was soon to arrive.
The moment where this arrogant grown up that seemed to think himself somewhat of a match for the lord of Neverland, this petulant, handless, powerless man would be lying on his back, having been weighed, having been measured, and having been found wanting. Oh yes, this game had a perfect ending.
