Rufio scoffed, rolling his eyes at Hook, then narrowed his eyes at Nibs. "That was your hairbrained idea? You went out on a dare, didn't you?"
He shook his head. These lost boys. Running off all the time getting into trouble all the time. He didn't understand why they couldn't just... stay put for longer than five minutes. Really whose idea was it to come and try to steal from a Pirate. Hook, for that matter. "Looks like you're gonna go back empty handed regardless, Nibs. Since he's already caught you and I've had to come and save your ass."

THEY TRIED TO SAVE ME BUT I'M TOO FAR GONE THEY CALLED ME CRAZY SO I PLAYED ALONG Nibs actually had to put his hands over his mouth to keep from laughing too loudly at how silly he felt Hook sounded. It was like a child defending their title, like one of his fellow lost boys when they were playing a game. Obviously, Hook wasn't all that different from them. He just wanted to believe that he was.
Whenever there was another boy around, Nibs seemed to get more obnoxious then he happened to be to begin with. It was like they added fuel to his childish behavior. Even when it was someone like Rufio, it still turned out that way. He rolled his eyes at Hook. "So testy!" He smirked, shaking his head. "Maybe we should be calling you Captain Cranky."
He squinted his eyes, only opening one when Rufio addressed him. He was hesitant to answer at first. "Well... yeah." He returned his face to normal and gave him a smile. "I can't turn down a good dare." That was true. If someone said dare, he almost always completed it. It was just the way those kinds of things worked. Surely Rufio of all people would understand that. Okay, maybe not. But he should've.
Nibs turned back to Hook and just shrugged, though he was talking to the both of them. "I can keep my promise. I haven't left yet, now have I?" He was determined to find something. He would find something. He wasn't leaving here until he did. Maybe Rufio would even serve as a distraction of some sort at some point, allowing him time to snag something. "There's still time." | | 267 words | yup. |

He was usually not a short tempered man, but at the moment, he was getting frustrated with these two. Especially the one that he'd caught since he had nothing but a playful demeanor shining about, so determined upon a stupid voyage of getting something off the Jolly. There was little he had to say to the other though, he was more against the other. At least the swinging one had an understanding of common sense. "Call me whatever you'd like, not like I'd care," he told the boy, occasionally clenching his jaw. And when he thought things couldn't have gotten any worse, he was insistent on completing his dare because he didn't want to turn it down. Whatever prompted his mind to actually go about wanting to steal off a bloody pirate ship really was one thing. His determination was astounding really, along with his lack of personal safety or care, apparently. "A bloody dare - you took responsibility upon a dare?" he asked, scrunching up his face. He was already on the brink of whatever anger he was holding back. "I thought I'd already made it clear your company is not welcome on my ship," he growled, beginning to pull his sword out. "There's nothing of much value on my ship in the first place; just break your promise, Lost Boy." He knew trouble was stirring, knew that something was going to happen soon, whether a fight was going to brew together or something of the sorts. But it was the truth, the ship was only stocked with cargo and food, not many jewels or gold. This was Neverland, there wasn't any trading.
