It'd been late one night, but it wasn't like Hook was paying much attention to the time passing. It was always passing differently in Neverland. However, it was one of those nights where he wouldn't sleep no matter how much effort he put into shutting his mind off, no matter how much he squeezed his eyes shut until they hurt. He still heard the cries of all the Lost Boys, those damned Lost Boys who caused trouble all the time. But then again, they were boys, they were reckless and practically minions of Pan. Hook eventually gave up with sleep, slipping out from beneath his sheets, getting dressed. At last, he shrugged on his long leather jacket before attaching his hook back into the brace. He ascended the ladder up to the main deck, feeling the immediate breeze hit his cheeks. He was used to it, used to whatever Neverland threw at him and the Jolly. It wasn't explicitly nightmares that persuaded his brain to not temporarily turn off, not this time around. He'd been focused on figuring out his way to get his revenge on Rumplestiltskin since that day on deck. Since he watched her sink down while he hopelessly held her in his arms before her heart was crushed to nothing but dust; dust which blew away. There was no way Hook was ever going to forgive the Crocodile for what he'd done. He sighed and leaned against the side of his ship, staring up at the darkened skies, stars discernible through the clouds. Despite being in a different realm completely, he was still able to tell out the constellations, the stars which reminded him of Liam. It always felt like his older brother was out there looking over him, the job he had since they were children. The wind brought the cries even easier, the sound echoing constantly in his ears. It was like howling inside his ears, the cries...never-ending. A bloody shame that was; he knew he was quite possibly as lost as the others, but at least he had a goal to chase after, even if it had to be a poor ending.
