Gold had to get ready for the party. He wasn’t planning on going to it, but Belle had insisted that he attend the party. While he didn’t see the point in Halloween, he did enjoy seeing kids get scared and Belle seemed quite into it, trying to pick out the costumes they were going to wear. No, he wasn’t going in anything but his suit, but he agreed to wear sunglasses as long as he could see so he appeared like a ‘secret agent’ as Belle called it. He wore an empty holster on his side but otherwise, he looked like he normally did.
They had agreed to arrive separately because Belle insisted on her costume being a secret, so Gold made his way to the town center on his own, driving in his nice black Cadillac. When he arrived, he found that he was early. There were very few already here and those who were, had been setting up just moments earlier. He got out of his car and leaned against the door, waiting for Belle to arrive as he observed the scene.
The town hall had been changed into a haunted house (wonder how Regina was convinced of that), there was a truck ready to give hay rides, there was a path marked ‘corn maze’ that led out of the town center and to the outskirts of town where the farms were. There were booths of games to give out candy as prizes and various other things. He could see how it might be fun, but he was determined not to have fun… Well, Belle might make him have fun. Whatever. As long as he saw people getting scared.
