General Personality:
Bacchus is the youngest of the Olympians, the lord of wine and the vine among other things. As such he can be quite the brat, spoiled rotten by his own lavish lifestyle. He is wild and free, the release of limbs through dance and song. He has almost an animalistic instinct to make something interesting. He's not known for his careful tongue and will blurt something out right after he thinks it most of the time. This guy is not only the lord of intoxication and merriment he embodies it. He is incredibly playful, dangerous, and a shameless flirt. He is untamed by chains and laws, often having issues with any form of authority. He values personal freedoms over safety or civil activities.
Aside from his wild nature he is a great leader and a mighty conqueror in legend, the Romans celebrated him as the first to have a triumphant return from war. His compassion and mercy can often be a weakness. On the other side his wrath comes in terrible ways. With mocking laugh he hunts his enemies snares and drags them to their death. He has no tolerance for anyone who harms his friends or Maenads often tearing them apart himself.
This old Deity is an adventurous, friendly, and valiant individual. He tries to rely on his own strength (mental and physical) to get things done rather than rely on others. He lives by a code not to harm anyone innocent no matter the circumstance. But if an innocent person knowingly crosses him he has no problem taking out the trash. Unlike other Deities who care little for humans, he actually takes their feelings into consideration. Having one of his mother's be a mortal he can connect with them better.
Bacchus has the power to create wine from other liquids. He can also make any drink alcoholic in nature. He can cause drunkeness and ecstasy to overcome a mortal. This is shown when people break out into an ecstatic frenzy around him. He can also cause people to lose their minds breaking out into madness as well as hallucinations. He can also conjure grapes and grapevines as well as ivy branches when he chooses. Like other Gods he's also physically stronger and more durable then humans are. As a god he isn't affected by normal means only enchanted materials. Here he is just a normal guy.

History: As Blake Rouan he manages a local liquor store. He's a little loose with his morals often selling to minors. He's also pretty light hearted about most things as well.
Fairy Tale History: Bacchus has quite the colorful history. Unlike most Gods born into glory he had to fight to gain the respect he deserved from mortals. He was born to Zeus and Semele a mortal. Hera tricked the girl into her death, but Bacchus was saved and sewn into Zeus' thigh where he finished growing. This is why he is a god and not a demigod. Finally the baby was born, but given to nymphs to be raised. As a child he would turn water into wine and could summon up grapes when he was hungry.
At one point a group of travelers came to the nymphs and Bacchus ended up causing them to break out in ecstatic revelry. People came to the mountain to see him and be taken up in the joy he gave them. The local king Lykurgos was angered by this worship of a so called deity and sent soldiers to kill the boy. Being a child Bacchus was terrified and dove into the sea his nymph friends were slaughtered. He resurfaced and found himself on an island. Hera drove him mad and he slaughtered everyone he saw there.
Rhea, his grandmother, found and cured him of his madness. She also tutored him in many things including his origins and his powers. She finally left him to his own devices, but he was unsure how to get back to the mainland. A pirate ship came by and decided to take him hostage. He allowed them to take him aboard since he needed the ride. Once the ship began to sail the attempted to bind him, but he turned the ropes to dust. The helmsman told them to stop since he believed Bacchus was a sorcerer. Bacchus conjured grape vines to cover the ship and turned himself into a lion eating many of them. He left the Helmsman alive since he tried to stop the pirates from binding him.
Bacchus went to his cousin, Pentheus' kingdom where he was met with opposition. He rounded up the Maeands and used Squidink to do the same with Bacchus believing him just a petty warlock. When it wore off he broke out of his cell with his followers letting them go to the forest. He personally went to Pentheus disguised as a prophet trying to persuade the man, but the King spewed blasphemies at his cousin. Finally Bachs revealed his powers to the king who realized he was truly fighting with a God and had lost. That realization came too late since he was struck blind and died soon after.
The Olympian then moved to an island where he met the beautiful Ariadne who was stranded there thanks to Theseus' trickery. Their love was true, but short lived. He left her behind for a short time to go to Olympus, but in his absence she was killed by Lykurgos the king who hated Bacchus. When Bacchus returned to find her dead the king laughed at his misery calling him weak. The man was eaten alive by Bacchus who had transformed into a Lion. The rest of his family was slaughtered also for the deed. Later in life he would grant Midas the Golden Touch as a gift for giving his tutor Silenus shelter. He was taken by the curse during one of his wanderings through the enchanted forest after Silenus once again went missing.
