feel the light shining in the dark of the night | Oh he was hugging her back! That meant he really liked her. She figured he probably did before, but the fact that he liked her was a big deal to her, and the hug was proof not just supposition. Maybe it was because she was this Wendy, and maybe he liked Wendy and not Aria. Maybe he wouldn’t like her any more if she wasn’t Wendy. She really wanted to be Wendy now. She really wanted to be Wendy so he would like her. But if she wasn’t Wendy then maybe he would bring her back after she turned out to not be Wendy. She had to seize this chance while she had it. Cherish these moments. “You don’t owe me anything, Neal. I owe you everything.”
Wendy laughed and let go of Neal as he said that they didn’t have to go back. “Thank you so much, Neal. It’s so nice out here, isn’t? The wind in your hair.” There was no wind, but still, that wasn’t the point. “The smell of the ocean.”

He shook his head. "No." He looked downward for a moment, unable to look her in the eyes as he said what he said next. "I owe Wendy everything. If you are Wendy, I would go as far as to put my own life on the line to protect you." Was it weird that he knew he would die for her if the situation ever called for it, exhausting all other possibilities? He didn't really know Aria. He believed she was Wendy without a doubt, but he didn't know the type of woman she had been in Storybrooke. He still knew of Wendy as the girl he left behind in Neverland. She was given a new personality here, despite how similar it was to the old one. He wanted to know more about it, but at the same time, he had a bit of fear. This world could do wicked thing to people. Just knowing that she was in the asylum was painful enough. Who knew what else she had been through during her time here. He sighed deeply, finally looking back up at her after letting the thoughts scramble around in his brain. He gave her a small smile, trying to reassure her that this was all correct even if it seemed crazy.
He felt a tad bit sad when she let go of him, though he wasn't entirely sure why. He had been with a feel women since Emma, so it wasn't exactly like he was longing for touch. Maybe it was just because of how badly he was missing her.
"Smells nice, doesn't it?" He smiled at her, letting it grow a little. "It gives you sort of a peaceful feeling. Or, at least it does for me." He laughed a little. She seemed happy within all of this craziness, and it helped to ease him a little. He didn't enjoy scaring her, and her attitude was giving him faith that he hadn't. | 326 words yup. |
