She really was trying to give the woman a chance to just let her and Rumple be, but she was … well, stubborn as mule, so to speak. It’s not like she had done anything anyway. In fact, it had been Regina who approached her, and started threatening all sorts of nonsense. Break the curse? Destroy them? Ha. Well, obviously they would indeed be doing that, but Regina didn’t have to throw such a fit about it. Regained memories (partially, in Belle’s case), or not, they were still stuck. There was no magic in Storybrooke. No way to just make Emma believe. Henry was working on that, as it be.
It still got her into a tizzy though. Part of her, a darker side of her, wanted to fight back… somehow. Belle wished sometimes she had magical abilities, but then she thought of what magic had done to Rumple, and she didn’t wish for it anymore. She felt strange for that. But she chalked it up to only being human, as human as one can be, at least; being from such a place known as the Enchanted Forest. It didn’t stop her from feeling a tinge of regret though, when she felt like taking vengeance on Regina… or the people who hurt Rumple so badly that it took a curse to finally get him to admit… and realize that they loved each other.
Sigh. But she wasn’t arguing it either. She was thankful for what she had, what she was getting, and how it was happening. She might… not remember everything, or properly, but it didn’t matter. She remembered him, and it was enough. Storybrooke was a quaint little town, it would do for raising a child. her hand brushed her stomach, at this thought and she smiled a little. It was safer than what the enchanted forest ever would have been, Evil Queen or no Evil Queen. She quite liked it here. She had her job at the library, which kept her quite busy; and ironically enough - actually cleaned it. And then there was Gold’s shop, which she had had the impulse to clean and organize too, like it was right. It was definitely much smaller than a whole castle, for sure, where there was no way she was able to keep that clean all on her own.
She turned the corner, nearing an alleyway, as she made her way towards Granny’s. It was almost lunch time.
