High dive into frozen waves where the past comes back to life Fight fear for the selfish pain, it was worth it every time Zanith had never pictured himself in a situation like this before. He'd never expected to be someone's minion before, especially not a minion for someone who was basically the town's mafia boss. The money was right though. Hell, the money was perfect... so, why not? He was actually surprisingly good at following orders. If he'd only known what he had done before he'd lost his memories, he might have understood a bit more about why that was. Anyways, it wasn't like he had anything better to do. His missions made his heart race, and that was almost payment in it's self. Zan was beginning to think he might have been an adrenaline junkie at this point.
However, he was stuck in the boring part of this whole thing for the time being. He was sitting up in a tree, basically waiting for a woman to come out. He wasn't exactly told the details on who she was, but the paper pretty much solved that one for him. This was Mr. Gold's woman friend, or at least his mistress. At first he'd thought Gold was just being a possessive freak when he had him trail her, but then he mentioned something about memory loss, and Zanith figured he was probably just worried. And if the man was willing to spend his money to ease his worry, then why not let him?
The place he was watching was Game of Thorns. She worked their or something. When that Oliver kid, the town asshat wasn't working, she seemed to be. Oliver was damn cute, but Zan found him to be such a jackass. He could see in the window door from the tree he was sitting in, but he figured she wouldn't be able to see him. The leaves were pretty decent cover. When she came out, that was going to be the hard part. He'd have to make himself less suspicious while following her on the side walk back to where ever she was sleeping. When she was inside and no one else seemed to be around, he'd be able to make his way back home after about another hour of camping out.
Of course, he hadn't sat up in the tree all day. When things seemed slow enough, he got to ditch for some food, but that was about it. The money was too nice to screw this up, even if it was starting to feel like his life was lacking quite a bit of free time. And it wasn't like he wasn't enjoying himself, constantly having the thrill of wondering whether or not he was going to get caught. His enjoyment actually had him feeling like more of a creeper than a spy. He checked the watch he'd shoved into his pocket, and then he continued to stare through the door, unable to really see her yet. She had to be leaving at any moment now.
