THEY TRIED TO SAVE ME BUT I'M TOO FAR GONE THEY CALLED ME CRAZY SO I PLAYED ALONG Oliver let out a sigh as he walked through the doors of Granny's Diner. He hadn't been in here since the event with Mr. Gold that had put him in the hospital. It was a pity seeing as how she served the best banana pancakes Storybrooke had to offer. He had been told that he might want to avoid certain places for the time being until it all cooled down. He was surprised he had been listening.
Either way, it had been a couple weeks, and he had no clean pans left. The kitchen in his apartment was a complete mess. Pancake batter was everywhere. Oliver wasn't exactly a prized chef, but he was rather talented in the mess making department.
He took a seat at the counter, and the waitress approached him soon after. "A stack of banana pancakes, two actual bananas, and the biggest cup of coffee you can conjure up. Oh, and uh, please hurry, Lady. The service here is so slow." She rolled her eyes and walked away. Oliver started drumming his fingers against the counter top as he waited impatiently.
Ten minutes later, the food showed up. Oliver picked up the syrup and completely drenched them before shoving his fork in. He ripped off a big chunk and jammed it into his mouth, chewing slowly, savoring the first bite before he started in faster on the food before him. He felt like he was starving.
There were surprisingly not very many people staring after the commotion he had helped create last time. That was nice though it might have been fun to shoot them funny faces for every sour look he'd gotten. At least life hadn't been boring lately. That was always a plus. He had actually been relatively busy since he'd gotten out of holding this time. Oliver took a short break from his pancakes and boring thoughts to take a drink of his coffee, cursing God for how hot it was when he did. He flinched when his tongue almost burnt. That was definitely going to get a few minutes in waiting time before he tried it again.
