Tharon tilted his head while listening to the young man talk about how he had run off the peer. He guessed that must be a difference in opinion. Tharon felt it wasn't worth while to bring up ones own flaws but Leon was more than happy to do so. Not only that but he was still giving off the possessive body language keeping his arm around her. "Well it isn't to say that I have -never- had an embarrassing moment but it is more that I chose not to remember them. After all, why continue to beat yourself up over a mistake? We all make them, we learn, and we keep going." As they arrived at the small diner and Leon opened the door for them Tharon decided to try something. Bobbing his head gratefully he tipped an imaginary hat to Leon. "Thank you sir." He went to a table and pulled out a chair for Hannah. "Here you are." He drummed a finger along the edge of the tabletop as he thought for a moment. "Although I guess the most embarrassing that ever happened to me was there was a young woman... and I... well I was infatuated with her. No it was more than that... I was head over heels for her. And I made a show of my feelings and she was... less than kind in rejecting me. Not only that she made sure that the other girls knew of it too." @nala Leon Keita

Leon always thought that if one brought up their own flaws, then everyone else would know them and not think that they were being arrogant, and they wouldn’t have to go through the hassle of figuring out what his flaws were. He knew what was wrong with him. He knew he wasn’t bright, or as bright as others, though he was brighter than some. He was stupid and didn’t think things through very often, and always seemed to find himself in some sort of accident. He felt it was a good… relationship builder to know what they were getting into before they got too far and were stuck with him despite them hating his flaws.
“Oh that sucks, bro,” Leon said, noting the fact he should never use the phrase ‘bro’ ever again because it sounded stupid. “So you’ve liked girls before? How does that feel? Like… to like, like a girl?” Because Leon didn’t know how it felt or if he felt it before. He glanced to Hannah and cursed to himself for feeling sick to his stomach and light headed for just a moment. He took a seat at the table Tharon had sat at. “Have you liked guys before, Hannah?”

she's so pretty, and she's so sure Maybe I'm more clever than a girl like her Hannah nodded her head. She supposed she never really looked at it that way. Really she found times that she just wanted to lock herself in her room for all of eternity. It seemed easier that way instead of facing the world any time she did something way too weird for others to understand. That happened a lot more often than she'd like to admit.
Tharon pulled out the chair for her and Hannah smiled brightly, though blushing a little bit. She wasn't really used to such kindness. Most guys didn't seem to want to go through the basic notions of being nice like Tharon did. He was a lot like Leon in the nice department in her mind, except he might have been a little more forward.
She frowned when he finally came clean about having an embarrassing story. It was sad to think that some girls could be so cruel. "She sounds like a jerk. She really wasn't worth your feelings if she could dismiss and mock them so easily... Telling the other girls about them." It made her almost sick, but the world was full of bullies. Hannah still had her fair share of them. She folded her hands underneath the table and looked down. "Though I understand you can't always help who you feel for. Feelings don't seem to enjoy cooperating like you'd like them to, do they?" She laughed, looking back up at him with a smile.
She pressed her lips together, noting the fact that Leon apparently didn't know how it felt to like girls. It made her slightly sad, but then she felt a little better when she thought about how it meant he must not have had a crush on anyone else either.
Then Leon asked her a question she really didn't know how she was going to answer. She supposed the truth might have been good enough. "Just one." She shrugged, playing it off like it was no big deal. No other guys really stuck around long enough for her to figure out if she did actually like them or not. After all, the curse had been sure to leave her feeling as lonely as lonely could possibly get. Well, until recent times at least. Something felt like it was changing. She was actually making new friends. She had even found an old one again.
