Dax had spent almost an entire hour, almost two, in front of the clock tower this morning, attempting to open the door to the library. He would stare at it for ten minutes, tug on the door knob for a good five minutes, tilt his head to the side thinking for about fifteen minutes, and then repeat the entire process. Luckily, some lady came along and finally told him that it wasn't going to be open any time soon. Then, she directed him to the school.

He thought nothing of it when he went past all of the elementary school kids and straight into the school library. If the lady had directed him here, it was normal, right? Besides, he lived with a bunch of kids. He was used to being around them. He smiled at a few. Many of them ignored him, a few stared, and one little girl have him a look that scared even Dax himself.

Going up to the front desk, Dax smiled brightly at the librarian. "Hello! I need a book on computers, and then I need a computer. Or, I just need a book on how to break into secure buildings."

Belle was busy re-shelving some books left out by some kids (she sighed internally), when the doors opened up. She braced herself for another onslaught of another class needed encyclopedias for some research paper, but silence met her ears until she turned around. She was met with a boy - at least nineteen - and definitely not of the school. Her mouth dropped open to tell him .. something, but it was lost on the tip of her tongue as the boy spoke. At his inquiry, an eyebrow raised and she gave him a disapproving looking.

"You do know this is a elementary school right?"

She resolved herself. "But I'm sure we can find you something. I suppose the book on computers will be a good place to start. Follow me."

She moved around the counter, and led towards the back where the reference books where.

Dax nodded, still smiling just as brightly. "Yeah, I know that." He spoke it as though he had no idea why she was clarifying that with him... because he didn't. He saw the sign when he walked it, and it showed him that he was in the right place. The woman had told him to go here, and here he was.

He followed her as she walked. "Awesome! Thank you so much, mam!" He was so happy that she was going to help him find what he needed. Dax didn't even know how to turn on a computer, and he didn't want to disappoint Wendy. He was going to solve the mystery of the computer so in order to have more information. "A computer will have ways to help me break my friend out of the insane asylum for sure, right?" He was concerned. He wasn't positive how much information computers held, but there should have been a good chance it had more then a book. It was a bigger square, after all.

She stared at him, raising an eyebrow. "You're welcome, and my name is Lacey."

She didn't like being called 'mam' it made her feel older than she actually was. She plucked two books off the shelves, a reference book for computers, and then one on the internet. "The computers are in the front study area on your left once you're comfortable enough to use them...."

It was then the the next thing he said that caused her pause. "The Asylum? You're trying to get someone out? ...I was once in there..."

She blinked. She probably shouldn't have said that. Probably.

"Lacey." He repeated her name, trying to commit it to memory. Dax forgot a lot of things, but he always tried his hardest not to forget names. It was far too rude of a thing to do. "Nice to meet you Lacey. My name is Dax." He held out a hand for her to shake.

Dax looked up toward the front study area she was talking about. He wasn't really comfortable using computers yet, he would probably have to get through the entire book. What if he tried to turn it on and the damned thing blew up? That would probably upset the librarian. He didn't want that.

"You were?" He looked sad for a moment, but then his face lit up. Maybe she had some information. "Do you think it would be hard to break someone out? Do they have like... big scary knights in gigantic tin suits inside?" A kid he was rooming with told him to watch out for those.

"Nice to meet you, Dax."

She raised a brow at his next question. "No...there's not knigns in tin suits."

She had to refrain from laughing at that, biting the inside of her bottom lip. "But there are a lot of people. They all wear about the same thing, though." Lacey's thoughts went to Aria, wondering if she was still there. Here she was, living her own life, and completely forgot about Aria. She frowned, disappointed in herself. "I have a friend there too, that I left when they released me...."

How as she to know they were talking about the same person?

Dax tilted his head to the head. "Huh? There isn't?" Well now he didn't really know what to expect. "What about fire breathing dragons?" That was another thing he was supposed to be looking out for, though he had no idea dragons actually existed before the boys were kind enough to inform him of the new discovery of them. It was odd that as soon as the world discovered dragons, they used them to guard asylums. He supposed it was probably in their best interest. He didn't know how dangerous all of those potential friends might be.

"They enjoy matching?" His head tilted further to the side. It was like they had their own customs in there.

He smiled at her. "If you like, I can break your friend out when I break mine out?!" He had to offer. It was the right thing to do, and what was one more person. He most likely wasn't going to be able to do this at all, but Dax had a ridiculous amount of faith in his head. If you want something hard enough, you'll get it. That's a saying he remembered hearing a long time ago, and it had stuck with him.

Fire breathing dragons?!

There she choked out a laugh. She couldn't help it, this kid was way too funny. "No, there's not any of those either, irregardless to contrary belief."

Unless you counted Regina being the dragon, really. It hadn't taken her long to put together that she was the person she had seen on the first day of her "confinement", and once she had been released she stayed far away from Regina; but these days, she felt like she was getting closer and closer to her. That, was terrifying, in it's own way.

"I don't think they enjoy matching either, the asylum garb wasn't very flattering to anyone."

This kid, she... she just couldn't get her head around how his mind worked. She smiled at him when he offered to break her friend out too. "That would be nice. I miss her, I feel bad that I haven't thought of her since then."

Lacey laughed, and Dax smiled brightly. Obviously something he had said pleased her. He enjoyed pleasing people. It made him happy to know he was making them happy. He always considering laughter to be a very good thing. "Hm." Dax shrugged. "My friend must have been thinking of a different place when he told me that then." Or, maybe they had upgraded since Lacey had been there. After all, dragons were a fairly new discovery, and he wasn't sure how long since she'd been in there.

He tilted his head to the side again. "It's not?" He frowned. "Then that's not really very nice of them to make everyone wear it... Though, I'm sure all the patients still look very nice."

He smiled again. "What's your friend's name? I'll look for her while I'm breaking my friend out, and I'll grab her too. If she wants to go, of course." He wasn't a kidnapper or anything to his knowledge.

She shook her head, confirming that there as no dragons. "Nope. Not at this asylum, anyway."

She gave him a thoughtful look, "I assumed it was for the safety of the people in there. Because maybe bright colors and individuality was a trigger to some patients." She gave a shrug, she didn't know why they had to wear those drab robes, all the knew is she was glad she wasn't wearing them now.

"My friend's name?" she gave pause, trying to think. Her name. Her name was... was... Ugh! Ever since she woke up in Mr. Gold's house that one time, her memories were getting away from her. She chewed on the bottom of her lip. "I... I have seem to have forgotten. What's the name of the one you're looking for? Maybe I met them while I was there."

Dax took note of that. He would have to remember that the Storybrooke mental institution was not guarded by dragons or knights. He wondered what did guard it then. Maybe there was a moat with crocodiles. Perhaps he needed to see if he could get his hands on a visitor pass first, just to check it out before he went in for the people stealing. They had those, right?

He nodded. "Oooh yeah, that makes sense. Wouldn't want them doing anything unsafe." He wondered if Aria had that issue. Were there any colors that freaked her out? He was going to have to ask her and pray he didn't wear any around her in the meantime.

He didn't judge her for not remembering her friends name, but he was sad about it. "Aria. My friend's name is Aria."

She blinked. Aria? That was his friends name? But... that was...

No, they couldn't be talking of the same person. There was no way. She had told herself that she had probably made up Aria while she was there, finally just cracking at being locked up in that cell all alone; so desperate for someone else. But... he was looking for someone in the Asylum named Aria. She was staring, wide eyed at him, she knew. Her mouth had fallen agape with her response but she hadn't actually said anything yet.

"Well, in any case, I wish you luck. There might not be knights, but the Asylum is well guarded by doctors and stuff."

"So, how much further are these books?" They had a lot of time to talk on this walk, so he assumed they must have been reaching their destination any day now. Yep. Any time now.

He started humming to himself, unsure of what else to do at this point. "You kind of sound like the lady who gives me my missions in this videogame I play." He laughed, thinking he was complimenting her by saying that.

She had... uh, forgotten, when he had began talk to her about Aria. She had been standing in front of the shelf for the computer reference books this entire time. "Oh! We're right here. Sorry, I... got distracted."

She laughed at herself, pointing at the shelf. "The books for the internet are in this section too, so feel free to read as many as you want."

She was still caught up on the fact that he might be looking for the same Aria that she was in the asylum with. The same Aria she had promised to get out of the Asylum not too long ago. How long had it been? Months? Weeks? She felt bad. So much had happened.... she... didn't mean to have her wait so long.

"Video games?" she came out of her thoughts again and stared at him. "What is that?"

She blinked, "sure! I'd love to help... I don't know how much help I'd be, but I can try to answer what I can."

He looked over at the books, already starting to get a headache from going over the titles. How was he supposed to figure out which one was a starter one? What if one didn't tell you how to turn it on? What if they were completely different for each model of computer? Did computers come in different models? Yes, of course they did. They were like videogame consoles, right?

Then it dawned on him. He was a completely idiot. He didn't even know where to start. As he continued to stare at the books, his lip started to quiver. I'm a failure. He couldn't help Wendy. He was going to let that nice girl down. Following the quivering lip came silent tears as he read over some more of the titles. He sniffled, wiping his cheek off, though new tears just replaced the old ones. I don't know how to help her...
