Gigi watched from across the street the goings on, seated calmly on the bench a man to her left reading a news paper, a woman to her right writing in a notebook. She didn't really worry about them as people ambled past where she sat, not looking in her drection or caring really. Not that it mattered to her.
Her eyes were on the door, counting who went in, and who went out. So far, only the cop, and Nibs, had gone in, she counted two more people briefly going in and coming out, but then none else until the cop came out on his own.
Wonderful.
She watched the cop carefully, follo0wing his every move when he went across the street she stood as a group passed her and quickly started towards the crosswalk as the group she was with was also headed that way. The crosswalk was greenlit and she started across. Briefly passing Graham, but acting literally part of the group she was with as she passed him. Quickly disappearing inot the group she sat on another bench on the other side of the street once more watching Graham's movements. taking note of where he was headed, the diner.... hmmm...
Standing up as the door to the diner open and Graham disappeared inside Gigi went around back of the sherrif station and scampered to the rooftop, wuickly finding a vent she kicked it open with a whine of tortured metal as her glass sword cleanly cut into it. Sliding the weapon away she pulled the vent off and ducked into the vent.
Quiet as a cat she moved through the vent, taking in everything in each room, peeking through the ceiling grates carefullty taking note of everything before moving on. Spotting a pair of cells, perfect. One cell she could see had someone, Nibs, in it. No cuffs though.
Pressing her back to the ceiling of the vent Gigi kicked hard and the vent broke open, hanging wide as she dropped perfectly to the floor with a soft thud. a few meters from the cell doors. She had no idea what to call him, he never told her his name in this place. So she called him the first thing that came to her mind. "Nibs!!"

THEY TRIED TO SAVE ME BUT I'M TOO FAR GONE THEY CALLED ME CRAZY SO I PLAYED ALONG Oliver cooperated through the entire booking process. The first few times he had ever been locked up, he wasn't quite so compliant. For example, during the whole mug shot thing he would make crazy faces, making it take a lot longer than it should have. Then, he would make sure to be the most obnoxiously loud prisoner he could be. After a while, that started to fade out. The more the sheriff grew on him, the less of a goofball (jerk) he decided to be.
He raised an eyebrow and looked at Graham. "That lady has a kid? I feel terrible for that bastard..." Truthfully, he did. It was better to have no parents at all than have to be parented by the heartless old bag. Oliver walked into the cell and turned around as Graham shut the door. He didn't respond after that, but he was grateful. He just didn't want to admit that he actually saw Regina as a threat. Very few people made it under that category in his life.
Oliver took the sandwich from Graham and then walked over to the wall. He took a seat on the concrete with his back up against it. It was more comfortable than the cot was, in his opinion. He opened it up and took a bite, looking up at Graham who spoke again. He swallowed and then nodded. "Banana pancakes?" There was no way Oliver was ever going to turn down an offer for free food.
Graham walked out the door, and Oliver sighed. He stopped eating for a moment, and he just kind of stared at the ground. "And hey Graham...?" He spoke quietly to no one. "Thank you..." One day, maybe he would actually be able to suck up his pride and say that to the man. He kind of hoped he already knew, but he couldn't help but think that Graham pretty much thought what everyone else thought about him, especially from how often they ran into each other. He was a lost cause. A hopeless fool. He sighed and took another bite out of his sandwich. It's too quiet.
A short time later, Oliver heard a weird noise that almost sounded like it was coming from the ventilation system. He could only assume it had to be an animal that must have previously snuck inside. Then there was a crash as the door to the ventilation system fell to the floor not to far away. Oliver raised an eyebrow, looking both ways once before back at the vents. Then a girl fell out. He squinted his eyebrows at her in disbelief. It was the same one from before. What the hell was she doing here?
"Nibs?" He raised another eyebrow at the name. Something about it felt familiar, like he had a connection to it. That was insane though, because he'd never heard the name in his life. It was a really odd one too. "No, I think you're confused, lady. My name is Oliver." He cleared it up with her. "And just who are you anyways? And what exactly are you doing here?" This whole thing was way too weird. He figured maybe now he could at least put a name to the face if she answered.
Oliver shoved the rest of the sandwich in his mouth, and got to his feet. Still chewing it, he stood up and walked over to the cell door. "You know... If Sheriff Graham finds you here when he comes back, we're going to be roommates." | | 589 words | yup. |
